Floating between winter and spring, this month is a time for being, not doing.
With a majority of planets drifting in the dreamy sign of Pisces, March is a good time to rest so you can charge ahead in April.
Historically, March is a time for taking it easy, waiting out the winter, as well as for some restorative expression. This is when we drift into the oceanic depths of the collective unconscious and dream with the sea creatures. Poetic images wash over us like water. It’s an ideal time to tap into all forms of creative expression which are the Fishes domain; from curling up to watch pithy movies (Pisces rules film) or drawing inspiration from music and dance. Associated with spirituality and compassion, Pisces has a limitless capacity for vision, inspired by the imagination. With two heavy planets, Saturn and Jupiter, still in the revolutionary sign of Aquarius, we need to carry on with our radical rest and rejuvenation as well as show solidarity with our communities experiencing disproportionate suffering and inequities as laid bare and amplified by the pandemic. Compassionately we witness and we remember, we are all in this together, trying to stay afloat.

If you know your rising sign, read that too; it’s often more relevant.
PISCES (Feb. 19–March 20) Fresh from your self-styled retreat last month, you’re right in your element this month with a shoal of planets in your sign. Come on in, the water’s fine! And with energy to burn in your house of home and family, you may find yourself taking charge on the homefront. In your fervor to define what comfort means to you, just be mindful not to steamroll over the people you live with. Instead, funnel this flow of domestic zeal into redecorating and hang that posh aquatic-themed wallpaper you’ve been fantasizing about. A new moon on the 13th in your sign invites you to call in a creative if not a little bit dreamy and illusive part of yourself that you may have been hiding for a while now. It’s time to own it as opposed to being a victim to it. Venus gracing your sign (and in her glory in Pisces) for most of the month lends a helping hand. There’s beauty to be appreciated in there. And expressive Mercury supports you in capturing your vision a la poet Lawrence Ferlinghetti: “with the syllables of dreams…like a lighthouse moving its megaphone over the sea.” A full moon in your house of shared resources at the end of the month could shed light on an old quandary swirling around what’s mine and what’s yours. Something’s gotta give.
ARIES (March 21–April 19) With a herd of planets hibernating in your house of the subconscious this month, bighorn sheep stand to move mountains way behind the scenes. In fact, in your sleep. Make like a bear and cozy up in your den for a little while longer. We know that’s not exactly what action-oriented Rams want to hear, especially after a year of being cooped up by a pandemic. Think of it as lying in wait, in preparation for next month when you can finally spring onto the scene, like a friggen superhero. So, our mission for you thismonth if you choose to accept it, is to keep a bedside dream journal for middle-of-the-night notes, when even a tiny fragment of insight from the subconscious could inspire future endeavors. This also might be a great time to dust off your meditation cushion; even 10 minutes a day could be of great benefit for our ants-in-pants warriors now. A new moon in this same subterranean foothold mid-month could open up a whole new spiritual exploration for you going forward. And with Mars, your ruling planet abuzz in your house of communications, networking, speaking your mind, or learning something new could be just the ticket to keeping your brain nimble and occupied this month while your subconscious does the heavy lifting. A full moon at the end of the month in your partnership house shines a spotlight on striking a balance between your needs and those of another. While you often want to have it your way, this could be an appropriate moment to compromise and negotiate. How’s that for some spiritual progress?
TAURUS (April 20–May 20) This month Bulls are blissfully networking with like-minded cohorts, meeting friends at outdoor cafes for drinks, and in general inspired to be the social animal of the zodiac. Party! We know your cautious nature will keep your mask on and your body 6-feet apart from your fellow revelers. Good on you. With motivating Mars in your money house, you’re also busy putting hoof to the metal, ramping up and diversifying your income streams. Eager to activate your various talents, you may be considering how you could monetize the things you love doing. With so much activity in your house of friends and groups, including a new moon on the 13th, you may be game to collaborate on a creative dream project. A full moon in your health and daily rituals house near the end of the month urges you to reclaim “the soft animal of your body,” as poet Mary Oliver writes and manage your time more equitably to accommodate work, play, movement, and rest for more ease of functioning. By month’s end, the party’s over, and it’s time to relax, recharge, and reflect.
GEMINI (May 21–June 20) With a conference of planets co-conspiring in your career house for most of March, you’re shining brightly in your career. As probably the most mutable of mutable signs, every time in the past 12 months that the universe said “pivot,” you were the sign most likely to say, “no problem.” This flexibility has been a big contributor to your growth career-wise. Run with it and set some inspiring goals during the new moon on the 13th. The seeds you sow now are magic beans, so steeped with a positive potency that they are likely to grow beyond your wildest dreams. Harness the high-octane engine of Mars in your sign this month to fuel your motivation and confidence. The time is ripe for Twins to proclaim, as famed Gemini poet Walt Witman once did: “I celebrate myself, and I sing myself.” If your goals for yourself diverge with those of management, very well then, you contain multitudes. We’re paraphrasing, here; but you get the idea. Be yourself, and go, Gem, go!
CANCER (June 21–July 22) Crabs are well suited for the cast of planets migrating into their house of philosophy and meaning this month. Why not fashion a voyage of self-discovery by way of searching out essays or books that address issues of justice and ethics, learn another language, or anything else that increases your altruism and capacity for empathy? Energetic Mars activates your house of the subconscious, which portends an interruption to your nightly visits to the land of nod. Schedule regular naps lest you become a crusty-eyed crank crawling around during daylight hours, nipping at your loved ones. Yikes. Whether it’s through conscious or unconscious explorations, or a combo of both, you’re committed to expanding your perspective in preparation to come out of your shell and shine in your professional life. Bring it! A full moon at the end of the month in your house of home and family nudges you to let go of some ancestral baggage or some literal furniture. Grandma’s couch has got to go!
LEO (July 23–Aug. 22) It’s time for you to dig deep into what makes you purr, kitty kitty. With a pride of planets lounging in your house of intimacy and deep psychology, it’s a good month to fiercely peer into the psychology of your deep seated fears or gain some clarity around murky aspects of your sexuality and any collective resources or support systems that need some reimagining. Ruled by the Sun, big cats prefer basking in warm rays on a sun-drenched boulder, not rooting around in dank dark caves. Be brave and wear a headlamp! Meanwhile, active Mars energizes your house of friends and groups, compelling you to mingle with your favorite crowd; as more of us get the vax, meeting outside in small groups is becoming less of a terrifying thought. A full moon in your house of communications and local community at the end of the month illuminates a host of issues overdue for an upgrade. Take care not to overshare, as you mend the fences.
VIRGO (Aug. 23–Sept. 22) Dear Virgin, relationships are on your mind this month as a bundle of planets pile into your partnership house, prompting you to ask all the questions about what you want and need in contractual agreements, including your marriage. After a thorough spring cleaning around your selfhood at the full moon in your sign last month, you’re ready to put yourself out there and clearly ask for what you want in a relationship. With a new moon mid-month joining the planetary party in your coupledom courtyard, this is an ideal time to attract your dream sweetie or to revive an existing relationship with one. Later in the month, the Sun and love goddess, Venus join forces in your house of intimacy and shared resources. You’re poised to deepen a significant relationship or business partnership, or better yet, attract investors. With proactive Mars firing on all cylinders in your career house this month, you may have your sites set on the corner office; you’re ripe to assert your long-term goals and call the shots. For optimum effect, take care to choose your words (and tone) carefully. A full moon in your money house at the end of the month could stir up the dust around your budget. There may be an expense that’s holding you down. What can you do to ease the pressure?
LIBRA (Sept. 23–Oct. 22) You’re weighing all the pros and cons of your daily habits, adjusting your schedules and making space for all the necessaries around work and wellness, showing the rest of us how to finesse the details and get it all done with grace. With just-do-it Mars trekking through your house of philosophy and long distance travel, you may feel driven to expand your mind and your world. Perhaps you can pencil in a weekend jaunt up the coast? Or a solo journey to the mountains? Either way, there may be some tension around balancing the daily grind versus an appetite for adventure. We support you in finding harmony. The full moon at the end of the month in your sign brings an opportunity to put your perfectionist streak on pauseand instead, celebrate your accomplishments for goodness sake! You’ve been putting in the hard work and it shows.
SCORPIO (Oct. 23–Nov. 21) With an orgy of planets partying in your house of pleasure this month, looks like Spring break is officially on, Scorpio. But wait just a hot minute. With restrictions on travel and large gatherings a no-no, how might you invent some creative workarounds to revel in some serious playtime while avoiding the mosh pit? Whenever there’s a pile up of planetary energy in one corner of the zodiacal stage, astrologers look to the opposite side for some cosmic relief. In your case, that would be finding some levity with a little help from your friends. They just might have some practical yet magical (your fav) solutions for how you can whoop it up and find joy without breaking the necessary Covid rules. With your co-ruler Mars tearing it up in your house of intensity and metamorphosis, you can’t get no satisfaction, and you’re driven to transform anything that’s outlived its usefulness. Whether that’s a relationship, way of relating, or an outworn defense mechanism, you’re keen to get to the core of the matter and change it. Later in the month, as the party of planets breaks up, some key players move on to your house of health and wellness-—our Rx for you will be to rest, relax, rejuvenate, repeat.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22–Dec. 21) Typically the intrepid centaur, you may find yourself grounded for the month of March, more focused on reimagining and feathering your nest or even building a special place to honor your ancestors as opposed to out riding fences. With active Mars whizzing through your house of partners and commitments, you’re amped to sign that recently renegotiated work contract as well as renew (or reconsider) your vows with your beloved. Later in the month, as the clan of planets huddled in your domain of home and family disperses and the Sun and Venus move on to your house of play and romance, the shift lights a fire in your creativity belly, and you’re hot to produce or retool your Tinder profile. At the end of the month, you’ll have an opportunity to explore a new crowd you’ve been curious about running with. Together you may choose to rededicate your interest and time into an arts or humanitarian organization. Do it. It could be just what you need and you could gain a whole new group of friends in the quest.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19) With a community of planets convening in your house of communications and the immediate environment, your mind turns to networking, connecting the dots, and canvassing the neighborhood. If you wander off the beaten path on your commute, find yourself waxing poetic in emails, or fall in love with the barista at your local coffee shop, don’t be surprised—that’s Pisces behind the wheel. A new moon in this same venue mid-month, invites you to change up your mental patterns and modes of movement. Why not try out the new cafe or deli that opened during COVID, or ditch the car, tune up your bike and start cycling to work? With get-er-done Mars whirring through your house of day-to-day duties, heed caution around burning the midnight oil. To help commit to taking better care of your body, workout with a partner, schedule a walking date with a friend, or hire a trainer. In other words, put self-care front and center, otherwise you may see some difficulties arise in your health. A full moon at the end of the month may bring a revelation about just what isn’t working for you careerwise. Don’t just dig in deeper and ignore the warning signs—burnout is a real thing; it’s vital to take a break and reevaluate. Then, follow the path of this lightbulb moment into a brighter, more satisfying future.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20–Feb. 18) How’s your renaissance coming along dear Waterbearer? We hope that February brought some insights that set you on a fantastic course of personal transformation. You’re riding on the tailwind of an historic concentration of cosmic energy in your sign, and there’s no looking back. With so much of the air element in your sails, it’s important for you to ground. This month, you’ll be focused on keeping the books balanced as an association of planets takes a seat at your table of values and finances. While many of you will be wrapping your mind around getting the paperwork done on your taxes, others may be imagining new income streams or simply letting money slip through their fingers like water and not giving a hoot. With hot-to-trot Mars fanning the creative flames in your house of self expression and romance, perhaps you can draw on a hidden talent or two and develop a viable side gig. Operating in this venue in the sign of the Twins, the Red Planet could be game for more than one partner. However you play it, at heart, you want to be friends; so don’t forget to factor in some fun with your partners or friends while you plan your financial future. The full moon on the 28th in your house of knowledge and beliefs directs a beam of clarity, bringing more meaning into your life through study or a furthering of a spiritual practice that broadens your perspective.
